Swim Application

The SBCSA is now accepting online sanction applications for Solo and Relay swims of the Santa Barbara Channel, on a rolling basis up to one year in advance of the swim attempt.

Please note: Your application must be submitted and sanction fees paid at least 60 days before the date of your attempt. This is to provide adequate time to recruit observers.

Solo Application

2017 sanction applications will be available on or around February 1st.

Relay Application

The Relay Application has two parts: (1) the Team Leader Application, to be completed by a designated team leader only (one per relay); and (2) the Relay Swimmer Application, to be completed by each relay swimmer and alternate swimmer.

Relay Team Leader Application

The relay Team Leader can also be one of the swimmers, but doesn't have to be. The Team Leader must be 18 years or older.

Relay Swimmer Application

All Relay Swimmers and Alternates (including the Team Leader if (s)he is also swimming) should each complete a Relay Swimmer Application. For example, if there are six relay swimmers and two alternates, we will be expecting to receive eight (8) Relay Swimmer Applications, in addition to the Team Leader Application.
